Xiaomi is skipping MWC cause they have nothing to show

Xiaomi announced their Mi 5 at last year's MWC, so it was expected that they would announce a new device this year as well

Samsung isn't the only company that won't launch a new smartphone at this year's MWC in Barcelona. Xiaomi has also announced that they too are skipping this event.

The company confirmed the news to TechCrunch stating that they don't have a new device to show. Previous rumors had suggested that the company would launch the Mi 6 at MWC 2017, but that might have been postponed cause of Hugo Barra's departure from Xiaomi.

 

Xiaomi announced their Mi 5 at last year's MWC, so it was expected that they would announce a new device this year as well.

 

We will have to wait and see when the Mi 6 will have its debut since MWC is not an option anymore.
