The recent Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced upgrade and remaster updated the iconic title's visuals with ray-traced ambient occlusion, global illumination lighting, shadows, and reflections. GTA 5 is still one of the most played games on PC, so it's fantastic to see it enhanced with detailed in-game ray-tracing.

This week, it's getting another upgrade in the form of DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and Frame Generation support for GeForce RTX 50 Series and RTX 40 Series owners. DLSS 4 also includes NVIDIA's game-changing Transformer model for DLSS Super Resolution, so this is a big win for all GeForce RTX owners, including those rocking a GeForce RTX 3060.
With the game maxed out at 4K, with all ray-tracing effects enabled, DLSS Super Resolution set to Performance, and Multi Frame Generation turned on, Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced achieves an impressive 485 FPS on the GeForce RTX 5090, 350 FPS on the GeForce RTX 5080, and 240 FPS on the GeForce RTX 5070.
With DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation increasing frame rates by an average of 3.9X, this is the sort of performance that exceeds the refresh-rate capabilities of modern 4K gaming displays. With most 4K gaming monitors topping out at 240 Hz, you can probably turn down the Multi Frame Generation to 2X or 3X on the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090.

Drop the resolution to 1440p and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, and the GeForce RTX 5090 hits 500 FPS, which is seemingly the maximum level of performance achievable in GTA V. That said, the mainstream GeForce RTX 5060 can hit 234 FPS at 1440p, with the popular GeForce RTX 5070 hitting an impressive 337 FPS.

Lowering the resolution even further, to 1080p, and we see that every GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU from the GeForce RTX 5070 on up can get close to or hit the Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced performance cap of 500 FPS with max settings, ray-tracing, DLSS 4, and Multi Frame Generation.
Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is available now on PC, with the Enhanced version available to all GTAV and GTA Online owners as a free upgrade.
