The overall design resembles NVIDIA's in-house GeForce RTX series Founders Edition graphics cards, with a heatsink and fan keeping the Jetson T5000 with Blackwell GPU cool, a 1TB NVMe SSD + Wi-Fi 6e module, and rich I/O that includes an HDMI 2.1 connector, DisplayPort connector, super-fast 5GbE ethernet port, 2 x USB-C and 2 x USB-A ports.

NVIDIA's new Jetson AGX Thor Dev Kit supports advanced video encoding and decoding, where it can manage up to 20 physical cameras through high-speed interfaces, and up to 32 virtual channels. On the humanoid robot side of things, camera input and sensor data are mission critical for navigation, recognition, and decision-making, with the GPU packing 96 Tensor Cores at the ready.

This is just a developer kit, with the final module used in production devices expected to be much smaller.

The company says its new NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit provides you with the ultimate platform for physical AI and robotics, delivering "up to 2070 FP4 TFLOPS of AI compute and 128 GB of memory with power configurable between 40W and 130W. They deliver over 7.5x higher AI compute than NVIDIA AGX Orin, with 3.5x better energy efficiency".
