The Battlefield 6 beta weekend is almost upon us, and with the highly anticipated game now opening up to the public, thousands of Call of Duty players will be flocking to servers to jump into the action. Here's what you need to know if you are a Call of Duty player who is about to experience their first Battlefield game.

Battlefield differs significantly from Call of Duty in its gameplay execution. While Call of Duty leans more toward a solo run-and-gun game, Battlefield is best experienced alongside teammates. It is possible to take on an entire enemy point by yourself in Conquest, cap it, and wait for teammates to spawn on you. However, first-time Call of Duty players are going to find that extremely difficult, considering enemies are also moving alongside their teammates.
Battlefield 6 is split into four classes, with each offering unique abilities and mechanics. While not every map calls for every squad to have one of each class, it's more often than not that a team will have different percentages of the same class.
Tips for Call of Duty Players
- Stay with your squad/teammates for easy revives
- Swap classes based on the map/situation (getting wrecked by vehicles = Engineer swap)
- Swap classes based on map (small maps = close-quarters weapons)
- You most likely won't be able to solo capture points
- Flank behind enemies to capture points
- And again, stay with your squad and revive when you can
For example, if there are lots of enemy vehicles taking over allied points or defending chokes, swap to an Engineer class and RPG those vehicles out of the way. If the map is a close-quarters, swap off Recon (sniping class), and opt for Assault, as you will now be able to take advantage of a combat shotgun, adrenaline, and an automatic rifle - all of which are designed for pushing into enemy points.
Smaller close-quarter maps also call for more Support classes, which come with the unique abilities to revive allied teammates. Recon is best played by hanging back behind the frontline of your team, particularly in a nice vantage point overlooking an open area. As Recon, you want to be spotting enemy soldiers along with any vehicles, as this will mark them on your teammates' map. Swap classes based on situation.
The biggest tip I can give Call of Duty players trying Battlefield 6's Conquest game mode for the first time is to stay with their squad or main group of teammates. Conquest calls for squadrons to move as units around the map to cap points, and if you are running with your squad, they can revive you when you get knocked down.
Another great tip is flanking. Flanking in Conquest can be decider between a winning match and a losing match. If the enemy team has you in a choke, go around the long way and begin capping the points behind them. This will force the enemy team to retreat from the choke to recapture the points closest to their original spawning point (HQ). You attracting the enemies back will now enable your team to push through the choke.
