TL;DR: Xiaomi's new Pad 7S Pro 12.5-inch tablet features the in-house Xring O1 chipset, a 10,610mAh battery with 120W fast charging, a 144Hz LCD display, and Dolby Atmos audio. It targets high-end competitors like Apple iPad Pro and Samsung Tab S-series with powerful specs and sleek design.

Xiaomi has just unveiled its new Pad 7S Pro 12.5-inch tablet, which will compete against high-end tablet offerings in the form of the Apple iPad Pro and Samsung Tab S-series.

The new Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5-inch features the company's in-house Xring O1 chipset, which recently debuted inside of the Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone, marking the first tablet to be powered by its in-house silicon in the tablet market. Inside, the new Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5-inch tablet features a 10,610mAh battery, and super-fast 120W wired charging which should make for the fastest charging tablet on the market yet.

Xiaomi's new Pad 7S Pro 12.5-inch tablet also features 6 speakers and extended support for Dolby Atmos which paves the way for an immersive audio experience.

On the display side of things, Xiaomi is using a 12.5-inch LCD with a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 3:2 aspect ratio, which is really nice to see, especially for gamers. The display might be massive, but the new Pad 7S Pro 12.5-inch tablet measures in at just 5.8mm thick, but it's quite heavy weighing in at 576g.

Xiaomi's new Pad 7S Pro 12.5-inch tablet will take the fight to the big tablet market against Apple and Samsung when it releases, but it won't be available in every market. This is the competitive edge that keeps Apple and its iPad Pro, as well as Samsung and its Tab S-series tablets from dominating the market. However, the Chinese company has quite an alluring slate on its hands with powerful specs and a slick style, with the in-house Xring O1 processor being the highlight here (and that smooth 144Hz refresh rate).
