TL;DR: Intel’s upcoming Arc B770 GPU is now expected to be unveiled at Computex 2025. It aims to succeed the Arc A770 with improved performance and 16GB VRAM and potentially rival the GeForce RTX 4070. While Intel focuses on Arc Pro GPUs for workstations and AI, the B770 remains highly anticipated despite limited official details.

When Intel released the mainstream-focused Intel Arc B580 GPU in December last year, we were impressed with the second-generation Arc card's performance and overall stability. With 12GB of VRAM and an MSRP of $249, it presented a viable alternative to cards like the GeForce RTX 4060. However, it left us wondering at the time if and when we might see an Intel Arc B770 - the flagship mid-range 'Battlemage' GPU and the real successor to the Intel Arc A770.

It's a question that persists to this day. Even though there have been rumors and information pointing to an Intel Arc B770 being an actual, for-real thing, Intel's recent Computex 2025 teaser made it seem like a B770 for gaming might be off the table or postponed. The teaser, which confirms that we will see multiple new Intel Arc Pro 'Battlemage' GPUs unveiled at the show, shifted the discrete GPU focus from gaming to the workstation and AI market.

It's a sensible move, and credible leaks suggest that an Intel Arc B580 GPU with 24GB of VRAM will be the basis for at least one of these new Arc Pro cards. Still, what about the B770? Well, many have been asking Intel on social media. Surprisingly, Intel is responding with variations of 'stay tuned.'

Multiple people have asked about the Intel Arc B770 on X, and the responses are promising. We expect a formal announcement soon, most likely at Computex 2025. Intel's responses range from "Stay tuned!" to "A solid pick, stay tuned!" and "Now that's a gamer with great taste, stay tuned!"

With the Intel Arc B580 proving itself to be a solid performer in many games, including those with ray-tracing, many predict that the Intel Arc B770 will outperform the GeForce RTX 4070 while offering 16GB of VRAM. Of course, the GPU's overall value will be determined by its price and availability, and that's one area where the impressive Intel Arc B580 has failed to keep momentum, with limited stock and prices hitting well above MSRP.

Still, we're excited to see what the Intel Arc B770 can do, and it's great to see Intel confirming its existence without technically confirming it.
