Oblivion Remastered didn't ship with a photo mode, but it's still possible to take beautiful HUD-free screenshots on PC.

Like all Bethesda games, Oblivion Remastered can be manipulated with a series of console commands, which are basically strings of text that you type in a special command line that can adjust in-game parameters. With enough knowledge, anyone can force the game to accept some pretty crazy conditions. But we wanted to do one thing first: Take pristine screenshots to show off just how impressive Oblivion Remastered actually is.
While it's not possible to turn off Oblivion Remastered's HUD while in-game, and certain older console commands like tm (toggle menu) don't work, we can brute force the functionality with mods and with new commands. These mods work on Game Pass, and this tutorial is for the PC Game Pass version of the game.
If you want to use console commands, PC Gamer found some helpful inputs:

You'll still need to follow the steps to install the No-Hud-No-Effects in order to remove the HUD.
You can download and install two mods in order to take HUD-free screenshots in Oblivion Remastered, but if you want to use the commands above, you don't need to get the Simple Photo Mode mod.
- No-HUD-No-Effects (link) - uses a Reshade Shader Toggler
- Simple Photo Mode (link) - Forces flying camera mode
Since the readme instructions for each mod are written for Steam and not PC Game Pass, we'll be showing you how to install these mods and get them to work on the PC Game Pass version.

Installing No-Hud-No-Effects
The instructions to install this mod into the Steam version are pretty straightforward. But it's kind of confusing if you're playing on the Game Pass PC version. You'll need to find a specific folder named WinGDK to extract the files into.
The directory looks like this:
- C:Program FilesWindowsAppsBethesdaSoftworks.ProjectAltar_1.0.4.0_x64__3275kfvn8vcwcOblivionRemasteredBinariesWinGDK
1. Select the file path and CTRL+C to copy it.
2. Download the No-HUD-No-Effects zipped file from NexusMods, open it in WinRAR, and dig through the directory until you can't dig any more.
- OblivionRemastered-> Binaries -> Win64
Three files will show up:

3. Select these 3 files.
4. Click Extract To, then CTRL+V to paste the file path that you had copied above.
Your WindGDK folder should now look like this:

4. Now just start up the game as you would normally, and once in-game, hit END on your keyboard. The HUD should disappear. Hit END again to bring it back.
Troubleshooting: If nothing happens when you hit END, you may have to re-select the proper folder for the Reshade preset.
- Hit Home to open the Reshade overlay.
- Click Add-Ons at the top.
- Click the folder icon next to the text that says "add-on search path" at the top.
- Make sure that the source of the add-ons is the WinGDK folder, and not Win64. To do this, you can paste the following file path into the Reshade add-on search path line - C:Program FilesWindowsAppsBethesdaSoftworks.ProjectAltar_1.0.4.0_x64__3275kfvn8vcwcOblivionRemasteredBinariesWinGDK
Alternatively, you can:
- Click the tiny blank folder at the top with two dots.
- You should see both WinGDK and Win64. Select the WinGDK folder.
- Hit HOME, and now press END to see if the HUD disappears.
- If you can't find the exact directory or have lost the path just copy and paste the file path listed above.

Installing Simple Photo Mode
This one is a bit trickier. We're going to open two directories to install this mod.
1. Open the Oblivion Remastered root directory with the following file path:
- C:Program FilesWindowsAppsBethesdaSoftworks.ProjectAltar_1.0.4.0_x64__3275kfvn8vcwcOblivionRemasteredContentPaks
2. Download Simple Photo Mode from Nexus Mods and open it in WinRAR.
3. Dig through the folder directory until you reach the Paks folder. Select this folder and then click Extract To. CTRL+V paste the Oblivion Remastered root directory listed above. A new folder called ~mods should appear.
4. Now we have to configure the save file. To do this, we have to open our save file directory in the My Games folder. Use this file path to find the correct folder. Replace %USERNAME% with your own local username.
- C:Users%USERNAME%DocumentsMy GamesOblivion RemasteredSavedConfigWinGDK
5. Select and open the Engine.ini file that's within this directory. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the notepad.
6. Go back to the main root directory of the Simple Photomode zip file by clicking the folder with two dots multiple times. Once at the root directory, you should see an Engine.ini file. Double click that file to open it.
7. Select all of the text below the words: THIS IS AN EXAMPLE CONFIG! CTRL+C to copy. Close this file.
8. Go back to the Engine.ini file that you had opened previously from the WinGDK folder. CTRL+V to paste all of the text you had copied previously into this Engine.ini file. Save and close the file.
9. Start up Oblivion as you would normally, and press Backspace to activate the flying camera. In conjunction with the no-HUD mod, you should now be able to zoom around Tamriel and take HUD-free screenshots.
