Rockstar Games surprise dropped the second trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI yesterday, and while the view counter was initially broken within the first couple of hours of it being released, it quickly caught up and display millions and millions of views.
For those who don't remember, when Rockstar released the first trailer for GTA 6 back in December 2023, it shattered records with its view count, becoming the most-viewed YouTube video that isn't a music video within 24 hours, earning itself the crown previously worn by MrBeast and a Guinness World Record.
As soon as the second trailer was released, Guinness posted to its official X account, writing that the most-viewed video game reveal on YouTube in 24 hours is Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1 with 90,421,491 views. That was the figure Trailer 2 needed to hit within a 24-hour period, but, unfortunately for Rockstar, it fell short.
Trailer 2 has still raked in a staggering amount of views within the last 24 hours, with the YouTube video currently sitting at 75,913,751 at the time of reporting. Trailer 2 was published on 2025-05-06 22:59:04, meaning the time has elapsed for Trailer 2 to break the record.
