NVIDIA and AMD are set to release their latest mainstream GPUs in the coming weeks and months, with the GeForce RTX 5060 Series and the Radeon RX 9060 XT. The first card set to arrive (rumors are pointing to a launch as early as next week) is the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, which will come in 8GB and 16GB variants.
AMD's Radeon RX 9060 XT is also set to arrive in 8GB and 16GB variants but with slower GDDR6 memory than the RTX 5060 Ti's faster GDDR7. AMD's mainstream RDNA 4 offering looks to be around the corner, too, thanks to new product registrations via the South Korean Radio Agency (RRA) for GIGABYTE cards covering both RDNA 4 and RTX Blackwell models.
As spotted by @harukaze5719 on X, GIGABYTE is choosing to go all in on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti while playing it safe with the Radeon RX 9060 XT. For the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, Gaming OC, Eagle, Windforce, Aero, and AORUS models are coming.
For the Radeon RX 9060 XT, the listing only features the 8GB and 16GB variants of GIGABYTE's Gaming OC line-up. Interestingly, the RTX 5060 Ti listings are all for the 16GB variant, which suggests that NVIDIA and its partners will push this model over the 8GB option. Perhaps there's a delay in the 8GB launch or only limited stock for the lower-tier RTX 5060 Ti.
Right off the bat, having 16GB of faster GDDR7 memory will make the RTX 5060 Ti a far better GPU for 1440p gaming than the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 3060 Ti. It'll be interesting to see the performance difference between the two cards, so stay tuned for that.
In another related post from @I_Leak_VN on X, it looks like MSI is also planning to launch a wide range of GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB cards, with Vanguard, Gaming Trio, Ventura, Shadow, and Inspire models coming. As previously reported, MSI has chosen not to create Radeon or RDNA 4 GPUs this generation, focusing solely on the GeForce RTX 50 Series.
