TL;DR: A rumor suggests the remake of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion could be released imminently, either tomorrow or next week. A leaker on X claims a Bethesda source has now confirmed this timeline. The remake features a visual overhaul with Unreal Engine 5 alongside numerous gameplay improvements.

The remake of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion might be imminent, and could even be released as soon as tomorrow, if a new rumor is right.

This speculation was aired by a leaker relatively fresh to the gaming scene, a certain Detective Seeds posting on X, as noticed by Wccftech.

If Detective Seeds is correct, the Oblivion remake might debut as soon as tomorrow, April 3 - or if not, it'll arrive next week, but the expectation is very much that it's about to be unleashed.

After their original tweet, earlier today the leaker said that their source at Bethesda has confirmed (add seasoning, naturally) that the game is indeed going to debut either this week or next. We're also told that this source provided Doom: The Dark Ages preview details that proved to be correct.

In theory, Bethesda needs to get the Oblivion remake out pretty soon to get in ahead of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for PS5, which is set to arrive mid-April. Also, South of Midnight comes out tomorrow as another denizen of X points out, so maybe early next week is most likely on balance - especially as the noise of the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal is currently pretty deafening.

The Oblivion remake is a full overhaul of the original game, meaning a visual makeover courtesy of Unreal Engine 5, and a good deal of honing for the gameplay and interface too. As a result, there are plenty of keen gamers looking forward to its arrival.
