Final Fantasy VII Revelation will provide PlayStation 5 Pro owners with a smooth 4K gaming experience at 60 FPS when it arrives next year.
Naturally enough, the game will manage this feat using PSSR upscaling, and as Wccftech reports we've got this info from game director Naoki Hamaguchi, who confirmed a 4K and 60 FPS mode for PS5 Pro.

"On PS5 Pro, by leveraging PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), we have implemented a mode that delivers both 4K image quality and 60 FPS gameplay."
He added that for those who want "both enhanced visual fidelity and smooth performance, I believe PS5 Pro will be one of the recommended ways to experience the game."
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is an open world action RPG and Wccftech has gone hands-on with the game, noting that it is indeed smooth and visually impressive. This appears to be one title where you aren't going to be disappointed by that 'PS5 Pro Enhanced' label.
In another post on X, Hamaguchi also underlined that there's more help available in Revelation for gamers who aren't so familiar with open world games and their mechanics, to ensure they don't feel too lost when diving in.
There's more on-screen guidance provided to the player to help them explore and discover the world, although thankfully those who don't want any such handholding will be able to dispense with it - at least to some extent.
Hamaguchi notes that for some gamers, the "guidance can feel a bit too strong" and that due to that, they are "also considering options that would allow players to customize how guidance is presented". That sounds like a pretty much mandatory part of the experience to me.
