Gearbox has just unveiled the PC requirements for Borderlands 3 that is right around the corner, with the minimum and recommended specs unveiled as well as what to best run it at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K.

But the more interesting thing is the customization and options that Gearbox gives you in Borderlands 3, with a huge laundry list of options to choose from. Some of the highlights for me are the display stats option which lets you display FPS, CPU, and GPU stats -- as well as the FidelityFX sharpening for Radeon gamers.

The biggest note here is that Gearbox is recommending AMD CPUs and AMD GPUs by default and highlighting them, as the developer teamed with AMD on optimizing and injecting AMD features and tech into Borderlands 3. You'll need a somewhat hefty 75GB of HDD space and at least 6GB of RAM to play Borderlands 3, with detailed system requirements below:

  • Processor - AMD FX-8350 (Intel i5-3570)
  • Memory - 6GB RAM
  • Graphics card - AMD Radeon HD 7970 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB)

RECOMMENDED SPECS 1440P Gaming

  • OS - Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
  • Processor - AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (Intel i7-4770)
  • Memory - 16GB RAM
  • Graphics card - AMD Radeon RX 590 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB)
