NVIDIA recommends RTX 2080 for ray tracing in Control

Control will support DX11, DX12 and ray tracing with the GeForce RTX 2080 recommended.

Control isn't far away with its release on August 27, and now we're hearing more about the RTX side of Remedy Entertainment's latest and greatest game.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card owners will be able to enjoy real-time ray tracing in Control, which in my hands-on time with it during E3 2019 blowing me away when RTX is turned on. According to the listing for Control on the Epic Games Store you'll need an RTX 2060 at a minimum to play with ray tracing, while Remedy recommends an RTX 2080 if you want RTX on.

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or better
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD RX580 or better
  • For Ray-Tracing: GeForce RTX 2060
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • DirectX: DX11
  • Additional Features: Widescreen support 21:9 / Remappable controls / Uncapped frame-rate / G-Sync / Freesync support
