As an Unreal Engine 5 title, the PC version supports a wide range of hardware, including the Steam Deck; however, Bethesda and developer Virtuos recommend an AMD Radeon RX 6800XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU for that immersive 60 FPS experience. Running on Unreal Engine 5, the remastered Oblivion is a Lumen ray-tracing title that offers the option to choose from a hardware or software-based approach. Hardware Lumen RT differs from full ray-tracing as it blends screen-space information with hardware ray-tracing to enhance lighting. The difference is noticeable, with Lumen RT offering more realistic lighting, reflections, ambient occlusion, and more.
