Infinity Ward's new Call of Duty game could get revealed later this month, with a big showcase planned for E3 2019.
Activision typically announces a new Call of Duty game every May or so, and this year should be no different. Company COO Coddy Johnson confirmed Infinity Ward's next Call of Duty shooter would be revealed during Activision's second quarter (from April - June).
"We continue to feel incredibly good about this year's game coming from Infinity Ward. The game's going to be revealed later this quarter. I think it's going to be really clear then why we're really so excited about the release," Johnson said in Activision's Q1'19 earnings call.

Specifics on Call of Duty 2019 are light, but reports say it'll be Modern Warfare 4. Activision lent credence to this rumor by confirming a singleplayer campaign with co-op play, complete with a story-driven approach. This is a departure from Black Ops 4, which used online-only modes to tell a story via its zombies mode.
"This Fall's launch is going to resonate very powerfully with our community. It is an amazing game, it'll feature an entirely new campaign, a huge and expansive multiplayer world, and fun co-op gameplay," Activision COO Coddy Johnson said in 2018's yearly earnings call.
"But from day one we've been really excited. Every time we've shown this title internally it's just created a ton of buzz."
Activision CFO Dennis Durkin says the new game will be accessible to old-school fans and new gamers alike, further hinting at Modern Warfare 4:
"In Q4 2019, we'll have another major launch for the franchise that will appeal broadly to both existing and new fans with what I can only describe right now as a great step forward in the franchise that is also rooted in Call of Duty's history. We have high expectations for the game."
We should get an official reveal before E3 2019 kicks off in June, followed by a big gameplay extravaganza at the show in Los Angeles.
