RGB lighting, actuated switches, and PC-level DPI has finally made its way to consoles...but the entry fee is steep.

Razer's new wireless Xbox keyboard and mouse is called the Turret for Xbox One, and is designed to bring PC gaming control to the console-based living room. But it's essentially a higher-end variant of the existing Turret lapboad combo that includes extras like a dedicated Xbox button, RGB flair, mechanical switches, and advanced DPI sensors for more sensitivity.

At a glance the Razer Turret Xbox One Edition looks pretty snazzy and should give players a new way to enjoy their games with enhanced precision. There's just one problem: the cost. The combo is available for pre-order for $249 on the Microsoft Store, effectively exceeding the current price of an Xbox One S by $50 or about 25%. You do get a $25 gift card for pre-purchasing though.

Currently only a handful of games actually support keyboard and mouse on Xbox One.

Games like Warframe, Minecraft and Fortnite can be played with KB&M and other titles will be added throughout 2019. This peripheral integration further cements Microsoft's plans to merge Xbox and Windows 10 PC gaming together in a cohesive, cross-platform (and now cross-peripheral) ecosystem.

The Razer Turret Xbox Edition is slated to release by March 31, 2019.
