Nintendo has revealed the new update coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, a new contestant will be joining the racing roster. Introducing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild 'Champions Tunic' Link, and his trusty Master Cycle Zero.

The reveal comes from a trailer that was uploaded to the Nintendo YouTube Channel and also posted onto their Twitter page. A few days ago, I reported on Shinya Takahashi, Nintendo's head of software development discussing a coming update to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, this is the update that he teased. This new patch will be bringing the game to version 1.6.0. and with it we will see the adding of 'Champions Tunic' Link as a racer, he will be riding on the Master Cycle Zero. The Master Cycle Zero was featured in Zelda: Breath of the Wild as a reward for defeating the final boss Monk Maz Koshia in the Champions' Ballad DLC.

The update has already been made live, so when you next jump onto your Nintendo Switch don't forget to upgrade Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. According to the Twitter post by Nintendo America, this new update will also be bringing Ancient Tires and the Paraglider parts for all the players customizable desires. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was released on the 28th of April 2017 and is only available on the Nintendo Switch.
