The spectacular first season of HBO's 'Westworld' is set to hit Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in November, marking the first TV show release to hit the ultra high resolution format.
Based on the 1973 film directed by writer Michael Crichton, the 10 part series rocked pop culture earlier this year, with a multi-layered story coupled with amazing visuals and theatrical production values. Warner Bros are particularly keen to promote the 4K version of the series which Rosemary Markson of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is promising is the "perfect candidate to receive the fully immersive 4K HDR experience along with limited edition collectable packaging and all-new special features." Both Blu-ray and 4K releases will come with a raft of additional features, including behind-the-scenes featurettes, a gag reel, and a recording of the upcoming 2017 Comic Con panel. Filming on the much anticipated second season of the series has just kicked off and is set to premiere in 2018.
'Westworld: Season One' is set to hit stores in the U.K. on November 7 and in the U.S. on November 7.
