MWC 2017 - Sony has announced their new flagship powered by Qualcomm's latest processor, the Snapdragon 835, and the Xperia XZ Premium was awarded the "Best new smartphone" title.

The Xperia XZ Premium is the world's first smartphone that has a 4K HDR display. It also features 960fps slow motion video, something that the company pointed out as one of their biggest accomplishments, and anti-distortion shutter.

As noted before, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 835 and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable with a microSD card.

The Xperia XZ Premium comes with a 5.5-inch display, and the Gorilla Glass 5 wraps around the entire phone giving it a fancy look.

The device rocks a 19MP main camera and 13MP selfie cam. It is also worth noting that the Xperia XZ Premium is waterproof (IP68), and comes with a 3,230 mAh battery.

The phone will be available in two colors - Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black, but the company has yet to reveal the price. It is also unknown when the phone will be available; the company mentioned "late spring," meaning that the Xperia XZ Premium might not be the first Snapdragon 835 powered phone in the market.
