Pop-culture franchises have been cross-pollinating for many years, from 'Alien v Predator' to 'Star Trek/Doctor Who', but the latest mash up of sci-fi franchises could be one of the most interesting as comic company IDW launch 'Star Trek: The Next Generation VS Aliens' in April 2017.

Announced at MCM London Comic Con, the upcoming The 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' / 'Aliens' crossover will be titled 'Acceptable Losses', and will be written by IDW's regular Trek creative team, and the people behind 'Star Trek/Doctor Who'; the Tipton brothers and JK Woodward.

So if you've wondered what would happen when Captain Jean-Luc Picard crosses paths with H.R. Giger's Xenomorph, you're about to find out!
