SteelSeries says the keyboard has 25 percent faster actuation than current mechanical gaming keyboards, able to respond to every keystroke from PC gamers. Each key has a surface-mounted LED, and colors can be customized based on each gamer's particular needs.

The SteelSeries Apex M800 has a $199.99 MSRP.

"We are rethinking the mechanical gaming keyboard from the ground up," said Ehtisham Rabbani, CEO of SteelSeries, in a press statement. "We're not just giving gamers another switch option or nifty illumination settings; we are delivering the total package of customization, speed, ergonomics and performance. The Apex M800 is all about packaging the latest hardware and software technologies in a way that improves the gamer experience."
