Just days after footage leaked from Avalanche Studios' cancelled 2012 Iron Man game, a second leak has surfaced. This time, the leak shows an early in-development trailer for EA Motive's long-awaited Iron Man game. The footage runs for over two and a half minutes and appeared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit.
Although the trailer is clearly unfinished, with placeholder credits listing Ultron as executive producer and the Hulk as world director, there's still a lot to see. For starters, the flying appears to offer a genuine sense of speed and freedom. Iron Man is seen moving through an open-world city environment, dropping into ground combat and launching back into the air within moments. Combat blends melee, repulsor blasts, laser beams, rockets, and a range of gadgets.
Popular Now: DLSS 5 has been modded into Skyrim, and it definitely transforms character facesThe game appears to be set primarily in Chicago rather than New York. Iron Man is also seen travelling to Japan and a SHIELD Helicarrier. And we hate to break it, but Tony Stark is not modelled on Robert Downey Jr. Characters visible in the footage include Pepper Potts, James Rhodes, and what appear to be comic book versions of Obadiah Stane, Henry Pym, Madame Masque, Iron Monger, Ultron, and Yellowjacket.
Another big reveal from the leak is that suit customisation appears to be a major mechanic. One scene shows Tony in a room surrounded by Iron Man suits. He interacts with a panel before a suit reconfigures around him. The armour upgrade system also seems inspired by Resident Evil's inventory management and Dead Space's node-based upgrades, with components laid out on a circuit board.
