TL;DR: Komodo Station briefly launched a Steam Controller product page, hinting at a separate release for Valve's second-generation Steam Controller. Recent leaks, an unboxing video, and import records support this, while new assets focus on the controller, suggesting an imminent official announcement from Valve.

In recent weeks, leaks and rumors have pointed to a standalone release of Valve's new Steam-branded hardware, specifically its second-generation Steam Controller. Now there's even more evidence suggesting a separate release for the controller. Komodo Station, the official distributor of Steam Deck and other Valve hardware in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, has launched its Steam Controller product page.

Spotted by @gabefollower on X, the Komodo Station product page for the Steam Controller briefly went live before parts of it were later retracted. At the time of writing, only a short product listing remains, with a link redirecting back to Steam for more details.

Screenshots from Gabefollower show that the full product page lacked both a price and a release date. The product text matched Valve's own previous descriptions, such as "Your games at your fingertips" and "All the inputs to play all the games on Steam, wherever Steam is."

Interestingly, the Steam Machine and Steam Frame also had their own store URLs added shortly after. Brad Lynch explained on X that while pages exist for all of Valve's upcoming hardware, the new assets uploaded to the website focused exclusively on the Steam Controller page, with the other two pages just rehashed elements.

While nothing is confirmed, it wouldn't be a stretch to say something is definitely happening with the Steam Controller. Earlier this week, a Steam Controller unboxing video surfaced on SteamDB, followed by import records indicating a large shipment of controllers had arrived. The fact that only the Steam Controller's Komodo Station page had new assets added leans further into this.

On top of that, Komodo Station was a valuable source of information ahead of Valve's hardware announcement last November. The official partner rebranded its store from the Komodo Steam Deck Store to the more generic Komodo Station branding, hinting at more hardware on the way. Sure enough, Valve made its official announcement later that same day. If history is anything to go by, another update from Valve may not be far off.
