Notably, the title that was pivotal in kicking off the Battle Royale genre of games is currently available on PS5 and the Xbox Series consoles, but it's running as a PS4/Xbox One game. The transition will begin on November 13, with the developer announcing that PUBG: Battlegrounds "will be supported only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S." According to the announcement, the transition is necessary and will provide players with an upgraded experience with more stable gameplay, improved visuals, and a reduction in crashes.

For those looking to make the transition to keep playing PUBG, you will be glad to know that all items and account data will be securely preserved. Players will be able to log into their account on the latest console generation and continue playing right where they left off.

As for those looking to refund the game, the press release states that refunds will be issued in accordance with each platform's refund policy.
