While Call of Duty adds Beavis and Butthead and American Dad crossovers, Battlefield 6 will take a different tack with cosmetics that fit the war-based military franchise.

Battlefield 6 will have skins, and while it has not been expressly confirmed just yet, these could be monetized with in-app purchases. EA has a penchant for this, and Battlefield 6 is a comprehensive platform of services and content ranging from singleplayer campaign, multiplayer, and custom play through the Portal creator.
A big part of the Battlefield experience is immersion, and EA has spent millions on things like destruction effects to make the game look and feel more interactive. DICE is in no hurry to break this immersion with outlandish skins and cosmetics. A bong-toting Seth Rogen isn't going to show up in Battlefield 6, and Roger the alien won't blast enemies in an exo suit.
In a recent interview, Battlefield 6 producer Alexia Christofi told Comic Book that DICE is laser-focused on making skins look and feel authentic to the core Battlefield experience. Skins are also directly tied to how classes are represented in the field, and DICE doesn't want to confuse players with mismatched, out-of-pocket crossovers.
"What I will say is what's really important to us is that things feel grounded.
"We want people to express themselves, to have cool skins, and peacock in a way like, 'I look pretty cool and I have this great weapon skin.' We want it to feel authentic to the franchise--that's the approach we're thinking."
DICE hasn't discussed skins in length just yet, but the $100 Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition does mention a soldier skin being included as a pack bonus.
