TL;DR: Polyphony Digital is hiring a Project Manager to oversee development of the Gran Turismo series, possibly hinting at Gran Turismo 8 for PlayStation 6. This role involves project planning, progress management, and cross-department coordination, supporting Sony's ongoing innovation in next-gen gaming technology.

Polyphony Digital is hiring a new Project Manager, and it's possible the team is working on Gran Turismo 8 for Sony's next-gen PlayStation 6 console.

Sony recently updated the PlayStation careers page. This has led to the discovery of some interesting job openings, including one that may hint that Sony will break exclusivity with first-party games and bring PlayStation Studios titles over to Xbox (while games like Death Stranding and Helldivers 2 are coming to Xbox, these aren't made by wholly-owned PS Studios teams).

The job listings are global, and one particular role in Japan caught my eye: Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital is hiring a Project Manager to work on the franchise. It's unclear if this is directly connected with a new Gran Turismo game, but it's certainly not unlikely given that Sony is currently working on the next AI-powered PlayStation console with AMD.

That being said, Polyphony regularly releases free content for Gran Turismo 7; the team just launched the free July 1.61 update.

Below is a translation of the job listing:
