Want a cheaper RDNA 4 GPU? AMD's vanilla RX 9060 gets AIDA64 support, alongside Zen 6 CPUs

Zen 6 processors only have 'preliminary support' at this stage, though, but the RX 9060 could be close at hand as an alternative to its XT sibling.

TL;DR: The latest version of AIDA64 brings in support for the unconfirmed AMD Radeon RX 9060, hinting that this more affordable RDNA 4 GPU could be on the horizon. The release notes also detail 'preliminary support' for future Zen 6 processors, but those aren't expected to debut until next year (with some potentially staggering clock speeds).

There have been some interesting additions for the latest version of AIDA64 in terms of AMD hardware, hinting at the prospect of a cheaper RDNA 4 GPU that could be inbound.

VideoCardz flagged up that the notes for the latest stable release of AIDA64 include not just the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT, but also the vanilla RX 9060.

That is, of course, a GPU which AMD is yet to confirm, but its appearance here is a strong suggestion that it might be due before too long (with any luck). It's worth noting that NVIDIA's RTX 5050 and 5060 are included with the new GPUs supported here. Oh, and there's Intel's BMG-G31 Battlemage graphics card, too.

On the processor front, there's also the early addition of so-called 'preliminary support' for Zen 6 chips. Those Zen 6 CPUs are, of course, a long way down the road still, and aren't expected to debut until later in 2026, so they're at least a year and a bit off in theory.

When they do arrive, there's the prospect of Ryzen 10000 processors (we suspect there'll be a name change, mind) coming with boost speeds of up to 6.5GHz (or there's even been chatter about hitting 7GHz, which is mindboggling, frankly).

Meanwhile, Intel's next outing will be a minor refresh of Arrow Lake, if the rumors are right - and disappointingly for gamers, it'll focus on upgrading the NPU, and not much else. (That will, however, mean desktop PCs get Copilot+ features, which have thus far been the exclusive domain of laptops).
