The GTA 6 trailer is raking in millions of views, and some viewers were quick enough to catch the console that was showcased at 2 minutes and 11 seconds into the trailer. A portion of those viewers believe they have found the first look at the PS6.

Searching "PS6" on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, pulls up a plethora of results of people screenshotting the console that was shown during the trailer and claiming to have found the PS6.
Are they correct? While I can't say for certain, they are most likely not, and for a few very good reasons. Sony hasn't confirmed anything regarding the PS6, and if it were going to release it teaser it definitely wouldn't be in the second trailer of GTA 6 as that teaser warrants its own separate video, not 10 seconds within a game trailer where it can easily be overlooked due to it not being the center of attention.

Moreover, Rockstar is known for creating knock-off versions of pop culture within the GTA world. A prime example is car designs in GTA 5, which look incredibly close to the brands of vehicles in real life, but they don't use the official branding to avoid licensing fees.
I believe that is simply what is going on with this console, which is clearly inspired by the PlayStation 5, as per the console's physical design and controller located in the bottom left-hand corner of the image. What is interesting, though, is that we don't see a knock-off Xbox console anywhere.
