TL;DR: Intel may still have a high-end 2nd-gen GPU in the works, as recent shipping manifests reveal components for a Battlemage G31 that were sent to Intel Vietnam. Despite rumors of the B770 being cancelled, we may yet see a powerful flagship for the Arc Battlemage generation.

There's still some hope simmering away in the rumor pot regarding the prospect of Intel having another Battlemage GPU coming out.

So far, we've had the B580 (and B570) models, but gamers are keen to see something with a bit more pep from Team Blue. The above post on X, from Haze (as seen by VideoCardz), spotted shipping documents that hint this might be the case.

They mention graphics card components (a connector, and PCB stiffener, which is part of the overall makeup of the board) for a Battlemage G31 (or BMG-G31) product.

Apparently, as Haze points out, these components have been sent over to Intel Vietnam, which has produced reference (limited edition) Battlemage graphics cards in the past (alongside CPUs, too).

So, it'd seem that something could still be happening with a possible further Battlemage GPU, the question is: what exactly? Well, we can't be sure of that, although the previous theory was that this is a high-end offering for Arc Battlemage.

You may recall that last month, that idea had cold water poured over it by another regular from the rumor mill on X, Jaykihn, who told us that the G31 had been canned (and that it was ditched back in 2024, too).

Still, as VideoCardz points out, more recently, yet another presence on X - Raichu - said that while there's a lot of chatter about a possible B770 flagship GPU now being dead, that isn't necessarily so. Raichu posted that "I think we will look it in the future" which very much indicates that there's still a possibility of such a graphics card popping up at some point.

Admittedly it's all very tenuous, but it's clear enough why folks might want to remain optimistic, as Battlemage's debut GPUs were very well-received - and a beefier model could be a real winner for PC gamers, potentially.
