MindsEye was first revealed at Sony's February State of Play. Featuring a dystopian sci-fi cityscape and high-octane combat, the game stars protagonist Jacob Diaz, an ex-soldier who attempts to navigate through a world fogged by AI, high-tech experimentation, and military corruption.
The game's initial marketing focused on the darker, psychological aspects of the experience. However, the latest story reveal takes a different direction, opting for a faster-paced tone as it shows off the game's world, characters, and narrative.
Pre-orders have officially opened for MindsEye ahead of its June 10 release date. Players can get their hands on digital or physical editions, which open at $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99. The game does not include a paid Deluxe edition - instead, all players who pre-order the game will receive a free upgrade that includes the Premium Pass, the Deluxe Thorn & Kepler Yellowjacket Weapon, the Future Jacob Vest Skin, the Future DC2 Companion Drone Skin, and the Future Silva Sedan Vehicle Skin.
The game's Premium Pass starts with the "exotic" skin pack mentioned above, and a Horde Mode that pits players against waves of enemies. There are three content drops planned throughout the following year, which include extra missions and challenges-with Pack 2 arriving in Q3 2025, Pack 3 in Q4 2025, and Pack 4 in Q1 2026.
MindsEye also notably features bonus missions built in ARCADIA, a custom building and distribution tool, which later evolved into Everywhere - a separate project that aims to support user-generated content similar to Roblox.
