Lisuan Tech's LX 7G100, one of China's latest attempts to develop a competitive gaming GPU, has now undergone broader real-world testing. PC Games Hardware tested the card across a 14-game 1080p rasterization suite, where it delivered roughly one-third the performance of NVIDIA's RTX 5060 despite offering theoretical compute throughput comparable to the RTX 5060 Ti.
The LX 7G100 is rated at 24.6 TFLOPS of theoretical FP32 throughput, along with 12GB of GDDR6 on a 192-bit bus and 432GB/s of bandwidth.
In PCGH's 14-game 1080p rasterization index, the LX 7G100 finished 23% ahead of the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. However, the RTX 2060 was 55% faster, while the Radeon RX 6600 held an advantage of around 80%. In the same test suite, the 7G100 delivered just 34% of the RTX 5060's performance.

Despite trailing newer and even older mainstream GPUs, this is a major improvement over the MTT S80. PCGH described the LX 7G100 as the fastest Chinese graphics card it has tested to date, noting that no other domestically developed GPU has reached this level of performance.
In 3DMark Time Spy Extreme, the LX 7G100 also comes close to the RTX 2060, though its gaming performance varies significantly by title. The card supports DirectX 12 and Vulkan, but PCGH encountered several failures or limitations in Forza Motorsport, Spider-Man 2, and Call of Duty.

Meanwhile, games that require hardware ray tracing, such as Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition and Doom: The Dark Ages, can't run properly because the chip has no dedicated RT hardware.
In terms of power and efficiency, the 7G100 drew between 110-199W during gaming. At idle, the GPU consumes 59W of power, which might seem excessive, but it is a major improvement over the MTT S80 and not far away from Intel's Arc A580, which sits at 42W.

Lisuan does not disclose the GPU's exact FP32 ALU count. However, PCGH believes the GPU likely contains 3,072 FP32 ALUs with dual-issue capability, rather than 6,144 conventional ALUs. Similar to AMD's RDNA 3 architecture, dual-issue allows the GPU to execute twice as much shader code under favorable conditions.
Without dual-issue, PCGH estimates the GPU's raw FP32 throughput at closer to 12.3 TFLOPS. On top of that, the LX 7G100 is built around a new architecture and relatively immature software stack, meaning driver optimization and hardware utilization likely play a significant role in the gap between its theoretical compute performance and real-world gaming results.

While the LX 7G100 still trails several mainstream GPUs, it represents a step forward from Moore Threads' MTT S80, with higher performance, lower power consumption, and broader game compatibility. Further driver improvements could help Lisuan get more from its hardware as it continues developing its gaming GPU lineup.
