TechNet today announced the top video content streamers worldwide have teamed up to form the Streaming Access and Choice Alliance (SACA), a new coalition that has members from YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon. "The coalition, led by TechNet, will advocate for policies that expand consumer access to high-quality content, preserve choice, and support the innovative viewing experiences consumers value," reads the press release.

"SACA advocates for technology-neutral policies that encourage innovation in entertainment - enabling streaming services to invest in a wide range of programming, including live sports."

TechNet's senior VP of federal policy Mike Ward will lead the coalition:

"Americans want more content choices and flexibility in how and where they watch their favorite programming, including sports and other live events.

"Streaming and digital entertainment companies offer audiences better features and value for their money. The industry and its customers deserve a dedicated voice in Washington, D.C., advocating for policies that enable innovation and address the needs of today's consumers."

YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon represent a significant proportion of the streaming market.

Netflix has more subscribers than any other streaming service, with over 325 million subscribers, and Amazon's e-commerce marketplace dominates the world, allowing Prime Video to reach millions of people per month. YouTube, the world's largest free content streaming platform, sees over 122 million people watch media every single day.
