Intel's answer to AMD's Ryzen AI Max Halo processors has surfaced in HWiNFO's upcoming changes list, with the hardware monitoring software preparing preliminary support for a platform called Razor Lake-AX. The entry does not reveal CPU configuration, graphics specifications, memory details, or a launch date, but it does confirm that Intel is actively developing the platform.
HWiNFO has a track record of picking up Intel hardware well before launch. It added early Nova Lake support in August 2025 and continued expanding it through subsequent releases. Razor Lake-AX now appears to be following a similar path.

Leaks so far suggest that Razor Lake-AX is a large SoC built around a BGA4326 package measuring 37.5 by 56.5 millimetres, considerably larger than Intel's current desktop CPU packages. Two integrated graphics configurations are reportedly in the works, one with 16 Xe3 cores and a flagship version with 32 Xe3 cores.
The larger configuration would have more than twice the GPU core count of Nova Lake's 12-core graphics setup and put it in direct competition with the 20 workgroup processors in AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 495.

Intel is also reportedly bringing on-package memory back for Razor Lake-AX, a design choice it used with Lunar Lake but abandoned for Arrow Lake and Nova Lake. The wider memory interface needed to feed a GPU of this size could explain the decision, with LPDDR5X or LPDDR6 reportedly being considered. This unified memory approach is also a key part of the architecture behind AMD's Strix Halo and NVIDIA's RTX Spark platforms, particularly for AI workloads.
