"Strong launch of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced in July with 3.5 million copies sold-in to date, exceeding annual expectations within its first 14 days," the press release reads.

The simultaneous launch on all platforms was a big part of Resynced's success, as the game released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Ubisoft's sales statistic--3.5 million sales in 14 days--is also still relatively new for the company. Usually we don't get these kinds of sales figures for Assassin's Creed games, and this stress on this basic metric shows that Ubisoft is now weighing specific things more carefully, especially in light of its new reorganization.

Resynced offers a big win for the French games-maker when it needs it most, and Ubisoft will continue its restructuring plan as it developers new games across its freshly-formed creative houses business model.

Company CEO Yves Guillemot says that Resynced is a key example of the ability of Vantage Studios, the new division that houses Ubisoft's three biggest franchises--Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six.
