Introduction, Specifications, and Pricing

If you are a regular reader here at TweakTown, you may have seen that we have already reviewed the Endorfy Arx 700 ARGB back in January. Ryan covered the all-black affair, but Endorfy has sent their white version of this case for us to check out, saying there have been some adjustments, rather than tweaks, made to this mid-tower case.

The Endorfy Arx 700 ARGB White ships with the same four Stratus 140mm PWM ARGB fans. It retains the full mesh front panel, fan, and ARGB hub, with the white version costing $125. Note, it is the same price as the black version, so no "white tax" is applicable here.

Endorfy is still relatively new to the case market, trying to establish its brand alongside household names such as Corsair, be quiet!, Cooler Master and the like can be a tough sell, so let's see what the Endorfy Arx 700 ARGB White has to offer, and see if it can wedge itself between the bigger players in the market.

Packaging

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 1

The industry standard bland brown cardboard box is back, but at least Endorfy has added some color with its printing, and it's not too often we see white text. The original Arx 700 came with black print, so it may be Endorfy is using this minor detail to denote it's the white version of the case, rather than "White" printed in the spec table - nice touch, small, but nice. There are details on the side and rear of the packaging, denoting the included fans, ARGB lighting, and some other key aspects of the case specifications.

Upon opening the box and removing the case, it became apparent that maybe the same person who packed Ryan's black Arx 700 had also packed ours, with similar damage to the foam protecting the top front of the case. There is a small amount of damage to the box, but the case hasn't been affected, thankfully. Whether this is just a coincidence, I'm not sure, but if not, hopefully Endorfy is aware that their packaging process may need reviewing. There is also foam to protect the tempered glass side panel, and our case is kept clean with the included plastic dust bag, too.

Now that the packaging is removed, the Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB can start to show itself off. It's a fairly standard form, with approximately a four-fifths length PSU basement, white banding to the glass side panel, and space to incorporate a top, or front-mounted radiator. The white color matches across the steel and plastic, and the different materials blend well. I will also reiterate Ryan's comments for his Endorfy Arx 700 Black ARGB review, about it looking like a mini be quiet! Silent Base 802, or the Pure Base 500. It has that sort of feel to it, so let's take a look around.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 5

The removable top panel comes with generous ventilation, includes a captive thumbscrew, and the top is also where we find our I/O.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 6

The I/O panel of the Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB includes two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two 3.5mm audio jacks for headphones and a microphone. There is also a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with a reset button, power button, power LED, and storage LED with good, clear labelling throughout.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 7

The rear side panel is held to the case using two captive thumbscrews and includes a formed handle on the rear. There is no venting or anything else on this panel, keeping it plain and straightforward.

Moving around to the front, there is a full mesh front panel with the Endorfy logo at the bottom. The front panel mesh section is held in place using magnets, while the sides of the front panel are also vented for extra airflow into the case. Hiding behind the mesh are the front three included Stratus 140mm PWM ARGB fans.

The Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB features a standard rear panel for mid-tower cases. Adjacent to the motherboard cutout, a 120mm or 140mm height-adjustable fan mount accommodates the final included Stratus 140mm PWM ARGB fan.

The PCIe slots feature a magnetic cover, which, to be honest, isn't really needed, but finishes things off nicely for a lovely rear aesthetic. There are a few tie-down points for tidying up all your connected devices. Additionally, the PSU bracket is removable for rear-mounted PSUs and includes captive thumb screws.

The bottom filter is simply a mesh sheet, rather than having a frame to it. It can be accessed from the front and covers the whole of the bottom of the case to ensure dust-free gaming sessions. The included feet provide ample space for ventilation to help keep the internals fresh and cool, but these are foam-padded, so don't expect this to be gripping onto your desk too tightly.

Inside the Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 12

Removing the tempered glass side panel, we can get a good look inside. At first glance, we have plenty going on in here. On the technical specifications, the Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB can accommodate up to an ATX motherboard, with CPU cooler clearance up to 179mm, PSU up to 340mm, and GPU clearance up to 410mm.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 13

Going in closer, the motherboard tray is slightly angled towards the front of the case with 5 grommets around the motherboard tray for cable pass-through. The included Stratus 140mm PWM ARGB fans fill out the front, with the fourth used as an exhaust to the rear.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 14

The PSU shroud includes a front-mounted grommet for our graphics card power cables, which is a great addition, making wiring up the GPU straightforward. There are two sets of mounting holes on top of the PSU shroud; these are for up to two 2.5" drives, and next to this is a fan mount for a 120mm top-mounted shroud fan. The shortened basement area also gives good clearance for fitting a front-mounted radiator; up to 70mm thickness can be installed. The shortened basement area also gives good clearance for fitting a front-mounted radiator; up to 70mm thickness can be installed. The only cable pass-throughs without grommets are located below where the motherboard will be. It would have been nice to tie everything together here with more grommets, but it doesn't impact performance, only the aesthetic, if you want to be picky.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 15

Moving to the front, with the mesh panel removed, the three included fans are mounted to a removable front bracket. Six thumb screws hold this in place, but these are not captive. The removable bracket makes it ideal for the ease of installation of fans, or if you want to go down the AIO or custom loop route. Both 120mm and 140mm variants can be installed by relocating the mounting brackets' attachment points, with respective radiator support up to 360mm.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 16

While the top doesn't include a removable bracket for fan installation, it's spacious and laid out so that you won't run into any issues fitting fans or a radiator here either. I wouldn't fit anything too thick, but you will have no problem with a standard 360mm AIO, or even a custom loop.

Turning our attention to the rear, you are greeted with all the internal wiring and the included fan controller on the left-hand side. This controller is prepopulated with the included fans and is split between ARGB at the front and PWM fan connectors behind. The controller can be used with the reset switch to externally control preset lighting effects, or can be connected to your motherboard for even more control over lighting and fan speed. The motherboard tray features a series of threaded holes, allowing the hub to be adjusted up or down to accommodate wiring. My only gripe here is that I only have one port available on delivery. I've mentioned this before, but if a case can accommodate 10 fans, then supply a hub that can facilitate everything in one place without the need for splitters. Yes, it adds some cost, but I think it would be worth it.

Moving around the motherboard tray, the 2x 2.5" SSD bays can be populated using the included mounting hardware from the accessory kit. You might also miss it looking at the photo, but two more 2.5" drives can also be installed to the rear of the motherboard tray, however these will be connected to the upright of the chassis on the right hand side of the cut out, but only two of the four drive mounting points will be used.

There are so many tie-down points, plus with the included Velcro ties too, you won't have any issues keeping things nice and tidy. All the cutouts are nicely rounded, meaning there are no sharp edges to slice through fingers.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 19

Going lower, the PSU bay can accommodate units up to 340mm long, with another drive bay mount should you need to add in even more storage. The foam pads will minimise any PSU vibration, with the venting to the bottom and front providing ample airflow.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 20

Before we move on to testing the Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB, I want to come back to something I said right at the start. Remember I said about the adjustments, rather than tweaks, made to this case?

Well, I usually would go over the accessories kit on the exterior walk round, but literally, in this case, the only changes from the white version to the black are the extra included grommets. The Endorfy Arx 700 White ships with white grommets installed, but they also include some black ones so that you can decide if you want to give the case a slightly different look. It's not something I've seen before, but granted, at times, especially when building modded systems, it would be nice to have an alternative color set to make the system pop that little bit more.

It wasn't the "adjustments" I expected from Endorfy, but it's a nice little addition that just gives the end user a little bit more choice for customisation. The accessory kit also includes zip ties, mounting screws, and rubber grommets for SSD mounting.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 21

Building in the Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB was a great experience. It's a case that would be a huge help for someone doing their first build, as everything is easy to access and install, unlike some other cases that can be complicated.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 22

The wiring for the test system is kept to a minimum, and routing everything was easy. If I were building this as a permanent system, then the sheer number of tie-down points would come in handy, especially as the number of cables builds up. There is enough rear clearance for the side panel not to bulge, and the whole experience was a breeze.

The system I have built for testing includes an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU, housed in an MSI B850 Tomahawk Max Wi-Fi Motherboard, paired with two sticks of 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 memory. Our CPU is kept cool using the be quiet! Dark Rock Elite. For storage, I am using a Corsair MP700 Elite 1TB NVMe M.2 drive. Finally, for graphics, I have an ASUS Prime RTX 4070 12 GB Super. Testing is completed with PBO enabled, AXMP1, and MSI Smart fan configuration.

All testing was completed using Aida64 Engineer's System Stability Test v7.65.7400 for 2 hours. Other software used was HWiNFO 64 v8.28-5770, TechPowerUp GPU-Z v2.66.0, and CPU-Z v2.15.0 x64.

It will probably come as no surprise that the Endory Arx 700 White ARGB threw up no issues during testing. With ambient temperatures around 29 °C, I observed the AMD 9600X reaching almost 82 °C, while the RTX 4070 Super topped out at 74 °C. On average, these temperatures were 77 °C and 72 °C, respectively. Running just the included fan configuration, the 140mm Stratus fans push plenty of air at the CPU and GPU in a positive pressure configuration. In comparison with Ryan's review, note that he ran a 360mm AIO for the CPU, so it's not a side-by-side test to compare.

Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 24Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review 25

So then, can I recommend the Endorfy Arx 700 White ARGB? Well, yes. Having the same case reviewed twice will lead me to the same conclusion as Ryan: the Arx 700, regardless of color, performs well, feels well-built, and offers excellent value with the included fans and hub. However, you just can't get away from the competition at this price point.

When people ask me for a case recommendation, I ask them what the budget is. At every single price point, there is a whole range of alternatives for a little less or a little bit more money, all with varying specs. While Endorfy has done everything well with this case, it will remain to be seen if they can push their elbows out and make room for themselves in such a crowded space.
