Nintendo today announced that it'll hold a Nintendo Direct showcase on April 12.

The Nintendo Direct will mainly focus on ARMS and Splatoon 2, but the Japanese console-maker will also discuss Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS plans as well.

Tune in on April 12 at 3:00 p.m. PT/6:00 p.m. ET for information on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS in a new Nintendo Direct presentation focused mainly on ARMS and Splatoon 2.

I don't think we'll hear about Nintendo Switch's extremely anticipated Virtual Console launch during this Direct, so keep that in mind. Hopefully we'll get some snippets on new Nintendo Switch games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

I hope Nintendo discusses its plans for future Switch games because I'm actually dying from the lack of quality titles. The indies are quite expensive and if they had demos, I'd be willing to try them out...but I'm not paying $14.99 or $19.99 for a game that might turn out to be junk.

Give us Virtual Console games already, Nintendo!
