Switch 2 pre-orders open April 2 on the same day as Direct, retailer Best Buy Canada confirms

Best Buy Canada has confirmed the Switch 2's pre-order date ahead of the console's big showcase.

Pre-orders for the Switch 2 will begin on April 2, the same day as the Direct showcase, Best Buy has revealed in a blog post. While we did get pre-order info from Best Buy, the rest of the post is written very generically and contains no new information.

And no, Best Buy didn't tell us how much the Switch 2 will cost.

Outside of the quick reveal earlier this year, pricing, specifications, capabilities, and unique features for the Switch 2 remain a mystery. Nintendo has revealed the Switch 2 has a secondary USB-C port and magnetic JoyCons, but we haven't seen the real selling points of the system, namely the 4K-ready games facilitated by the Switch 2's new powerful chip.
