Sony has re-confirmed a handful of its first-party titles will stay exclusive to the PS5 and won't release on PC.
Following earlier reports, Sony is indeed pulling away from its previous strategy to release PS5 games on PC. Following this new shift, Sony now wants to withhold its premium, first-party singleplayer games from PC. A new PlayStation promo spells things out quite clearly. Six games will stay exclusive to PlayStation 5 and not make the leap over to Steam or the Epic Store, including games that were released across the last four years or so, ranging from Gran Turismo 7 all the way to next-year titles like God of War Laufey.

The move coincides with Sony's need to boost PlayStation's profitability as it leads up to the PlayStation 6. This new console won't be cheap or easy to make, and Sony will need to rack up a kind of safety net of profits to help offset disruptions and unforeseen events, including the possibility of more tariffs and/or further component cost adjustments.
Quick data snippets from a LinkedIn post indicate that Sony may have only made $300 million from PC games in the first 3 years; however our own findings show that Sony has made at least $2.3 billion in digital gross revenue from selling its games on PC and Xbox.
The PS6 might be out by 2028, also coinciding with Sony's game disc media phase-out, and it's also believed to be backward compatible with the PS5 generation. If this isn't the case, and the PS6 is a hard generational reset that requires users to buy all new software and games libraries, it may present a big problem for next-gen adoption; given this, it's likely that these six games will also be playable on the PS6 in some form.
