Why doesn't Bloodborne have a PS5 version yet? It's a good question, and one that has an ex-PlayStation boss scratching his head.

Wccftech reports that Shuhei Yoshida, who was previously President of Worldwide Studios for Sony Interactive Entertainment (before departing in 2019), talked about Bloodborne in a keynote session at CEDEC 2026.
Yoshida said: "This title has a massive fan base all over the world. However, a PS5 version hasn't been released, right? People point out that PlayStation's first-party teams keep pumping out remasters, so why haven't they released this one? Or why hasn't a PC version come out? I get asked 'Why hasn't it been released?' all the time myself, but well... that remains a mystery."
He didn't rule out that the game might eventually get a PS5 incarnation, adding that: "It might come out in the future, or it might not. A sequel might be made, or it might not. Speaking strictly as a fan, I really hope it comes out."
It's hardly much of a prediction, though, rather just an admission of the reality: it may happen - or it may not.
Whatever the case, hope continually bubbles that maybe Sony will do a remaster for the PS5. (You can, of course, play the PS4 version on the newer console, and get some pretty tasty performance from the game).
Last year, there was a hint in the form of a job ad from Bluepoint Games (which worked on Demon's Souls) that prompted speculation about a remake of Bloodborne, but nothing came of it.
