Valorant Mobile has hit 10 million daily active players in China without a global release, proving just how hungry mobile gamers are for competitive FPS action.
The game, launched in August 2025, is already outperforming expectations, with Tencent and Riot Games reaping the rewards of a focused regional rollout.
Riot Games confirmed the milestone via Weibo, noting the mobile title has already surpassed 10 million daily players in just under a year. With 170,000 downloads and $1 million in first-day revenue, Valorant Mobile has become one of the most successful mobile game launches in recent memory.
Tencent reported that the combined user base of Valorant and Valorant Mobile now hits 50 million monthly active players in China alone. The absence of a global release remains a sticking point for fans outside China, despite the game holding steady in the top 5 of its genre on iOS in the region.
While Riot has remained vague on international plans, the game's success suggests a global rollout is inevitable. The question is when and whether it will support cross-play with the PC version. Given how precise Valorant gameplay is, I wouldn't expect Mobile and PC players to play against each other, especially given the level of aim assist required for mobile players to keep up with PC gamers. However, stranger things have happened.

With mobile FPS titles like Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Mobile dominating the space, Valorant Mobile's rise could shake up the genre. For now, it's a China-only hit, but one that's undoubtedly sending ripples through the global gaming industry.
