Japanese games company Koei Tecmo has upwardly revised their operating profit targets due to the successful sales of its newest games.

Koei Tecmo is expecting substantial returns from two of its new titles, which have both turned out to be platinum hits. The company issued a press release today with a forecast adjustment that takes into account explosive sales of the new games.
The titles include Pokopia, which Koei Tecmo co-developed alongside Game Freak, achieved 2.2 million sales in 4 days; and NiOh 3, the other hit game, sold 1 million copies in 2 weeks.

The company lowered its expected net sales from ¥92.0 billion to ¥87.5 billion, while simultaneously raising operating profit by 16% from ¥31 billion to ¥36 billion.
The profit attributable to parent metric adjustment was the biggest gain with a +53% jump from ¥37 billion to ¥41.5 billion, however, this metric is weighted by non-operating income and expenses, which includes like investments and stock purchases that are managed outside of the company's normal gaming operations. Koei Tecmo says that these results will still be new all-time record highs for three metrics, including net sales and ordinary profit.
Koei Tecmo will report its full results on April 27, 2026.

Due to the new titles launched in the fourth quarter and other titles exceeding initial plans, we have revised our consolidated earnings forecast for net sales and operating profit.
Additionally, due to significant gains in non-operating income and expenses resulting from active market management, we have revised our forecasts for ordinary profit and profit attributable to owners of parent.
As a result, net sales, ordinary profit, and profit attributable to owners of parent are expected to reach record highs.
