Yesterday, we reported on the somewhat credible rumor that AMD was planning to re-release the Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU as a special 10th Anniversary Edition. The leak specifically related to the CPU getting a Q2 2026 release in China, targeting gamers looking for a more affordable solution in the current 'everything now costs a lot more' climate brought on by the AI and data center boom.

For many PC gamers, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D needs no introduction, as the 8-core Zen 3-powered CPU spearheaded the arrival of 3D V-Cache technology chips that are fantastic for gaming workloads. And with AMD's AM4 platform now ten years old, giving PC gamers another chance to buy a Ryzen 7 5800X3D offers a more affordable upgrade path thanks to the chipset's compatibility with DDR4 memory modules.
Today, we've got another Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition CPU leak (via @9550pro on X) that shows the CPU's box or packaging. Although this doesn't come from an official AMD source, it's more proof that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is making a return, with the all-English wording on the box pointing to a global release - and not something that is limited to the Chinese market.
Even though the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is now considered old, it's still the fastest gaming CPU in the Ryzen 5000 Series lineup and remains a capable performer in 2026. In fact, a recent review of the popular CPU by Hardware Unboxed/Tech Spot shows that it can still compete with the likes of the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and AMD's more modern Zen 5 and Zen 5 6-core processors, such as the Ryzen 5 9600X.
There's no word on pricing or availability, but the expectation is that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition CPU will be the same chip, with an 8-core/16-thread configuration, up to a 4.5 GHz Boost Clock, and 96 MB of total L3 cache.
