Following its release on PS5 earlier this month, Starfield is now gaining more sales velocity on the platform as denoted by updated sales positions.

Bethesda's latest RPG Starfield appears to be ramping up sales on PS5. The game faced steep competition on the PlayStation Store when it launched on April 7, not breaking into the top 10, likely because of all the heavily-discounted sports games offered on the PS Store Spring Sale. Now that the discounts are over, Starfield sales have pushed the game's positioning to much higher spots on the top 25 PS Store best-sellers.
Starfield is currently in the top 5 best-sellers in multiple countries across North America, Europe, and Japan, including the United States, where the game is currently in the #5 spot. According to our tracking, this is the first time that Starfield has broken into the top 5 best-sellers on the US PS Store. This is noteworthy because this particular region represents weighted sales compared to others.

A quick look at other regions also reveals that Starfield is popular among various big PlayStation geographies, including Canada in North America, and the United Kingdom, Spain, France, and Germany in Europe. Starfield is even the #5 best-seller on the Japanese PS Store and #6 on the Hong Kong PS Store.
Starfield PlayStation Store standings
(as of April 14, 2026)
- PS Store United States - #5
- PS Store Canada - #4
- PS Store UK - #3
- PS Store France - #4
- PS Store Spain - #4
- PS Store Germany - #3
- PS Store Japan - #5
Unfortunately, Starfield released into controversy around the game's glitchy performance on PlayStation 5, leading to dozens of complaints as well as refund requests.
Bethesda has responded to the in-game issues and promises that a fix is on the way.
For now, though, the game still has issues on PS5, especially when playing on PS5 Pro with enhancement modes turned on.
