Benchmarks with GIGABYTE's GTX 285

GIGABYTE has quickly rushed out its variant of NVIDIA's new GeForce GTX 285 graphics card to market and a lucky lad over at the HKEPC forums has scored himself one for some playtime.

He kindly posted up a bunch of pics and info of the card (GV-N285-1GH-B) of which he purchased for the equivilent of around $413 USD.

As the card is 55nm based, its efficiency allows it to run significantly cooler than the 65nm GTX 280. Screenshots show this card to be idling at 39c whilst at load it only gets to 52c (versus the 80c average load temps of GTX 280s).



A 3DMark05 and Vantage run was performed with the card and a Core i7-920 CPU, dishing out a score of 20510 and P12945 respectively.
