ASUS has revealed the most expensive graphics card ever made, with the introduction of its new ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition, and it's worth as much as a house at over $500,000.
The new ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition was revealed at the recent Bilibili World 2025 event, with some pictures shared by @realVictor on X of the new ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition that is made purely of real gold. Not just up to 6.5g of gold on the recent ROG Astral Dhahab Edition graphics cards made for the Middle Eastern market, but real, actual gold, and a real, actual price of $500,000.
ASUS is using 5kg of real gold on its custom ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition graphics card, and with 1kg of gold selling for around $100,000... that means that this new custom graphics card is worth an insane $500,000 in just gold alone, with another few thousand dollars for the GeForce RTX 5090 that it's been dipped in.

This is a purely showpiece graphics card as I can't see anyone but the uber-rich paying half-a-million dollars for the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition, but we've seen weirder things over the years. What I've never seen is a graphics card worth $500,000+ but here we are with the reveal of the ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition. I don't think I'd ever want to take it out of the box, and if I did, it would be in a secure glass casing to show it off.
What would YOU do with the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition and its $500,000+ cost? Would you use it? Show it off? Keep it in a safe somewhere?
