TL;DR: Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphone features a sleek design, larger 6.9-inch 120Hz display, bigger 4300mAh battery, and the new in-house Exynos 2500 3nm processor. It offers up to 512GB storage, Samsung DeX support, and seven years of software updates, priced at $1100 with multiple color options.

Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones, with its new Galaxy Z Flip 7 featuring a bigger battery, a sleeker design, and powered by the company's new in-house Exynos 2500 processor.

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 smartphone has multiple new tweaks, with a sleek new design that has flat edges and rounded corners, measuring in at just 13.7mm thick folded and 6.9mm when unfolded. The new Galaxy Z Flip 7 weighs in at just 188g, making it a tiny bit heavier than the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and thinner.

Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip 7 has a new cover display with a new 4.1-inch Super AMOLED Flex Window, while the main display has been increased from 6.7 inches on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 to a larger 6.9 inches on the new Galaxy Z Flip 7. It's also smoother with a 120Hz refresh rate, and higher peak brightness of up to 2600 nits.

The company isn't using the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor like it does in its new Galaxy Z Fold 7, rather opting for its new in-house Exynos 2500 processor. This is the first foldable smartphone to use its new 3nm chipset, which the company says has increased efficiency and more performance than before.

There aren't any major camera changes on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with the same camera rig as the Galaxy Z Flip 6: a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor and f/1.8 aperture, joined by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a f/2.2 aperture.

Samsung has crammed in a bigger battery inside its new Galaxy Z Flip 7 with a larger 4300mAh battery, virtually matching the 4400mAh battery inside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is impressive to see, with the same 25W charging speed. The company has also expanded its Samsung DeX support into the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with two storage options on offer with 256GB and 512GB configurations.

The company is promising 7 years of software and security upgrades, with Android 16 and OneUI 8 out of the box with new capabilities including Now Brief, Now Bar, and Gemini Live.

Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphone is up for pre-order with a cost of $1100 -- so no price jump from the Galaxy Z Flip 6 -- with three color options in Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Coral Red. Samsung has its exclusive Mint color for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, just like its Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is only available if you purchase the new foldables from Samsung's website.
