TL;DR: GIGABYTE's new Ultra Turbo Mode for Intel Z890 motherboards and Core Ultra 200 series CPUs boosts gaming performance up to 35% and memory speed by 68%. This BIOS-level feature offers three customizable modes to optimize CPU, DRAM, and power settings, delivering effortless, high-performance tuning without manual overclocking.

GIGABYTE has just introduced its new Ultra Turbo Mode for Intel Z890 motherboards and Intel Core Ultra 200 series CPUs, right up to the flagship Core Ultra 9 285K processor.

The company promises that its new BIOS-level feature will provide up to 35% more performance in gaming, and a huge 68% improvement in memory performance. GIGABYTE's new Ultra Turbo Mode optimizes CPU frequencies, DRAM latency, and power limits, which will unlock additional performance out of your Intel Core Ultra 200K series CPU.

The new Ultra Turbo Mode feature from GIGABYTE is for users who want more performance, but don't want the headaches of manual overclocking and tweaking their hardware. GIGABYTE's new Ultra Turbo Mode has three different performance modes:

  • LV1 - Intel 200S Boost: Activates Intel's native boost technology for better clock speeds.
  • LV2 - Turbo Mode: Enables GIGABYTE's tuning profiles for aggressive CPU and DRAM performance.
  • LV3 - Extreme Mode: Pushes hardware to its full potential, maximizing system capabilities.

GIGABYTE's internal testing shows that Ultra Turbo Mode provides up to 35% more performance in games like Hitman 3: Dartmoor, and a massive 68% leap in performance in AIDA64 memory benchmarks (depending on the CPU + RAM configuration used). I don't think you'll see 35% performance gains across ALL games, so we'll have to wait and see for some real-world testing on that one.

The new Ultra Turbo Mode feature is available on GIGABYTE's entire fleet of Z890 motherboards, all you have to do is download the BIOS from GIGABYTE's website and update your mobo.

GIGABYTE explains:

  • Maximize Performance without Extra Expense: The Ultra Turbo Mode extracts maximum performance from systems without the need for expensive hardware upgrades. By intelligently optimizing BIOS settings, this revolutionary feature unlocks hidden potential in the latest Intel Core Ultra 2 9/7/5 K-SKU processors. The results are impressive: memory performance achieves a remarkable boost of up to 68% in AIDA64 testing across various high-performance memory configurations. Gaming performance also sees significant gains, with up to 35% higher frame rates in demanding AAA titles like Hitman 3: Dartmoor.
  • Effortless and Customized Performance Boost: The Ultra Turbo Mode enhances performance by intelligently managing CPU, DRAM frequency, latency, and power limits. Users can choose from three levels of performance preset profiles, allowing for customization according to their needs. The LV1 Intel 200S Boost features substantial improvements powered by Intel's latest 200S Boost innovations. The LV2 Turbo Mode features GIGABYTE's unique CPU/DRAM overclocking profiles, delivering aggressive optimization on gaming and overall performance. The LV3 Extreme Mode impressively unlocks the maximum performance potential. This breakthrough feature represents GIGABYTE's dedication to democratizing high-performance computing, making advanced optimization accessible and effective for users of all technical expertise levels.
