Polish studio Rebel Wolves recently debuted a new 20-minute gameplay overview of their upcoming title, The Blood of Dawnwalker, a new single-player open-world dark fantasy action-RPG where players step into the shoes of a vampire.
The 20-minute gameplay overview can be watched above. It focuses heavily on gameplay and has minimal cutscenes, with viewers being introduced to the protagonist of the title, Coen, as he explores a town, encounters enemies, uses skills, variations of combat, and his transformation into a vampire.
Rebel Wolves is using Unreal Engine 5 to develop The Blood of Dawnwalker, and the studio is led by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who was the game director for the critically acclaimed Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and head of production/secondary game director for Cyberpunk 2077.

Rebel Wolves is also home to several other former Witcher 3 developers, such as Bartłomiej Gaweł, who was The Witcher 3's art director, Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 writer Jakub Szamałek, Witcher 1 designer Daniel Sadowski, Witcher 3 animation director Tamara Zawada, and Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, former lead quest designer on The Witcher 3 and its expansion, who joined Rebel Wolves after spending more than 13 years at Witcher developer CD Projekt Red.
"Use your skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as you take on a quest to save the ones you love. Face your foes - be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself. But remember - the real evil may bask in the sun's light, and the most loyal of allies could lurk under the cover of night.
Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances."
