Acer had something quite interesting in the halls of Nangang this year at Computex 2025, something I initially walked past... but then walked back to and had to scope it out. A dual-panel, portable monitor that is the ideal purchase for the crazy multi-tasker (like myself) in your life. Check it out:

Welcome to the Acer PD243Y E, featuring dual 23.5-inch panels with native 1080p displays stacked on top of one another, with the upper panel held in place with four high-quality hinges. I did flex this bad boy as much as I could back and forth to see just how good those hinges are, and with my quick play at Computex it held up beautifully.

Acer says you'll be able to tilt the dual-panel portable display from 0-310 degrees, and they were right, this thing is a flexing beast. I initially though that they were 27-inch panels, but after double checking with an Acer rep on the ground at Nangang, these are 23.5-inch panels (looks can be deceiving, just like Agent Smith says in The Matrix).

I could see myself using this at trade shows just like Computex, where you'd have the Acer PD243Y E (weird name, could've been something like Acer Dual-Panel Portable Monitor and it would've rolled off the tongue better). Anyhoo, for events like this where you could plug it into your laptop and go from a single display to a triple-display... all through USB-C, is a huge win for those multi-taskers who have a bunch of windows open at once and are working across all of them like I do.

There's also a kickstand on the dual-panel portable monitor, which doubles as a carry handle meaning you could easily tote this around without needing to throw it into your backpack. There's not just USB-C, but also mini-HDMI meaning it can plug into a multitude of devices, too.
