TL;DR: AMD will unveil the RDNA 4-powered Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025 on May 21, featuring 8GB and 16GB variants, a compact twin-fan design, and a 3.3 GHz Boost Clock. This mainstream gaming GPU aims to compete with NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 series, with a likely early June release.

AMD's Computex 2025 presentation will be held on May 21 and will be live-streamed for everyone to see. The YouTube embed is below. Jack Huynh, SVP and GM of the Computing and Graphics Group, will be there, alongside AMD partners and customers, to showcase "what's next in gaming, AI PCs, and more."

With that, the AMD Gaming channel on X has posted a little teaser confirming that we'll see the next entry in AMD's RDNA 4-powered Radeon RX 9000 Series - the Radeon RX 9060 XT. The teaser includes an image of what could be the GPU's reference design, showcasing a compact two-slot, twin-fan build with a single 8-pin power connector.

And we say 'could be' because the image notes that the GPU pictured is simply an 'artistic render' and that this particular model is 'not available for purchase.' This is unsurprising as AMD didn't release a reference design or model for its flagship Radeon RX 9070 XT, and used a similar 'artistic render' for its promotional material.

Although nothing is official, specs-wise, leaks, rumors, and even premature retail listings have confirmed several things about AMD's latest mainstream gaming GPU. Like the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, AMD will release the Radeon RX 9060 XT in 8GB and 16GB variants, albeit with slower GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus. However, a recent leak suggests that the GPU will use all 16 PCIe 5.0 lanes to avoid performance issues when running on an older PCIe 4.0 system.

Also, even though the cut-down die has effectively half of the hardware found in the Radeon RX 9070 XT, the Radeon RX 9060 XT will ship with the fastest out-of-the-box Boost Clock speed of all RDNA 4 GPUs, hitting around 3.3 GHz. It'll be interesting to see where the GPU's overall performance sits, will it beat the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti? Time will tell. We probably won't have long to wait either, as rumors point to an early June release shortly after its Computex 2025 reveal.
